Privacy Policy
CalcSolver enforces a strict calculation privacy policy. Your math formulas and numbers run locally in your browser with zero server logging.
1. Absolute Calculation Privacy (Zero Server Logs)
At CalcSolver, we believe that your homework, personal budgeting, financial planning, and academic notes are your private property. We enforce an uncompromising privacy model:
🔒 The CalcSolver Client-Side Guarantee
All calculations across our scientific calculator and 37+ specialized tools are executed purely in your local browser runtime. Your numerical inputs, algebraic variables, ruled scratchpad notes, and step-by-step outputs are never sent to our servers, never stored in databases, and never sold to third parties.
2. Local Storage and Client-Side State
To provide an ergonomic user experience, CalcSolver utilizes your browser’s standard localStorage API to persist non-identifying preferences locally on your machine:
- Calculator Theme Preference: Remembers your chosen aesthetic (e.g. Classic, Pastel, iOS) between visits.
- Ruled Scratchpad Notes: Auto-saves your scratchpad equations locally so your work is not lost if your browser refreshes.
- Recent Calculation History: Stores your recent formula entries for quick recall.
This data resides strictly inside your browser storage sandbox. You can permanently wipe this data at any moment by clicking the "Clear Notes" or "Clear History" buttons, or by clearing your browser cache.
3. Analytics, Cookies & Advertising Disclosures
To maintain our servers and ensure all 37+ tools remain 100% free without paywalls, CalcSolver partners with reputable third-party technology providers:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4): We utilize Google Analytics (Measurement ID:
G-6WDQMJGQ5Z) to analyze aggregated traffic metrics, page rendering speeds, error rates, and device operating systems. GA4 automatically anonymizes IP addresses and collects no personally identifiable information (PII). - Google AdSense: We display non-intrusive advertisements served through Google AdSense (Publisher ID:
ca-pub-9256951685932619). Google may use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or AboutAds.info.
4. Children’s Privacy (COPPA & FERPA Compliance)
CalcSolver is designed as a safe, distraction-free educational aid for students of all ages. Because we require zero user accounts, zero student names, zero email addresses, and zero personal profiling, our platform fully complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We do not knowingly harvest, collect, or solicit information from children under the age of 13.
5. Your Rights Under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA
Under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), visitors hold rights to access, delete, and restrict processing of personal information. Because CalcSolver maintains no registered user accounts and stores no mathematical records on remote servers, we maintain no identifiable calculation records.
